1. Can I give Searchlight Kids Apps as gifts?

You can find the “Gift This App” option alongside the “Add To Wishlist” and “Share Via Facebook” menu items in the dropdown that appears next to the price of any app in the Apple App Store. Similar features are found in Google Play.

2. How can I buy the Searchlight Kids Apps and how much do they cost?

Searchlight Kids Apps are available for iPads and Android tablets. They can be purchased from either the Apple App Store (iPad Apps) or Google Play (Android Apps). Cost: $.99 - 1.99.

3. There are two editions of the Exploring the Bible series, a Catholic Edition and a General Christian Edition. What’s the difference?

The Catholic Edition contains references to the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) which parents, grandparents, and anyone acting as an Adult Facilitator will find helpful. These are provided for the benefit of the adult who acts as the reader's adult companion, referred to in the e-books (apps) as the Adult Facilitator. These CCC references are omitted in the General Edition. There is an occasional difference in terminology. The General Edition does not share the Catholic doctrine of Original Sin, and each edition differs on the total number of books in the Bible. The Catholic Bible contains 46 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament, for a total of 73 books. The Protestant Bible contains 42 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament, for a total of 69 books. Other than that, both editions are very similar overall.

4. How do I know if I am buying the Catholic Edition or the General Edition of the Bible series?

The Catholic Edition Apps specifically say "Catholic Edition" in the title and on the title pages of the e-book or app. The buttons used in the App Store and Google Play will include either "Catholic Edition" or "CE" in the title, for example, Bible 1 CE. The General Edition has no such identifiers. So if you don't see the words "Catholic Edition" in the title, or see the letters "CE" on the button, it's a General Edition.
